The American Music Awards will be broadcast live on ABC from the new NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in November, 2009

The 2009 American Music Awards, which will be celebrating its 37th anniversary this year, was the first awards show or broadcast event to take place in the 7,100 seat state-of-the-art theatre. The American Music Awards were previously held at the Shrine Auditorium.
